Op 22 maart wil de Nederlandse Volks Unie (NVU) demonstreren in Baarn onder de leus “Stop de omvolkers, grenzen dicht en trouw aan rood-wit-blauw”. Hierbij willen zij ook door het centrum marcheren.

De NVU is naar eigen zeggen een volksnationalistische partij. Leden noemen zichzelf nationaalsocialisten en maken er geen geheim van het gedachtegoed van Adolf Hitler aan te hangen. Voorman Constant Kusters gelooft dat een multiculturele samenleving niet bestaat en iedereen 'in eigen vak' moet blijven, vak Nederland is volgens hem alleen bedoeld voor witte Nederlanders. De rest moet ‘remigreren’ of desnoods worden gedeporteerd. Wij vinden deze ideeën absoluut verwerpelijk.

Deze haatdragende ideeën simpelweg negeren werkt helaas niet: de NVU en soortgelijk zullen doorgaan met hun agenda tot ze hun doel bereiken. Kabinet-Schoof(-Wilders) versterkt dergelijke retoriek vanuit politiek Den Haag. De NVU is hierdoor zelfverzekerder dan ooit om hun haat op straat te verkondigen.

Wat wel werkt is een keihard tegengeluid vanuit de samenleving. Zo hielden grote demonstraties in Duitsland meerdere keren AfD-evenementen tegen. Wij organiseren daarom een protest tegen de NVU-demonstratie, waarmee we met zoveel mogelijk mensen uit Baarn en de rest van het land duidelijk maken dat racisme, vreemdelingenhaat en fascistisch gedachtegoed niet welkom zijn.

Doe met ons mee en kom op 22 maart om 14.00 naar het stationsplein in Baarn om duidelijk te maken: tot hier en niet verder! Het moment om je uit te spreken tegen extreemrechts en opkomend fascisme is NU. 🔻

On March 22, the Dutch People's Union (NVU) wants to demonstrate in Baarn under the slogan “Stop the Great Replacement, close the borders and be true to red-white-blue.” During this demonstration, they also want to march through the city center. 

The NVU claims to be a 'people's nationalist' party. Personally members call themselves National Socialists and make no secret of adhering to the ideas of Adolf Hitler. Front man Constant Kusters believes that a multicultural society does not exist and everyone should stay “in their own region". According to him, the Dutch region is only meant for white Dutch people. The rest should 'remigrate' or be deported if necessary. These ideas are absolutely reprehensible. 

Simply ignoring these hateful ideas unfortunately does not work: the NVU and similar fascists will continue to push their agenda until they achieve their goals. The Wilders / Schoof government reinforces such rhetoric from the Hague. This makes the NVU more confident than ever to proclaim their hatred in the streets.

What does work is uncompromising resistance from society. For example, large demonstrations in Germany stopped AfD events several times. We are therefore organizing a protest against the NVU demonstration, with which we, together with as many people as possible from Baarn and the rest of the country, will make it clear that racism, xenophobia and fascist ideas are not welcome.
