Section 2 of 6
Post Restrictions and Megathreads
First we want to ask ten (10) questions about how we've structured the subreddits to handle the release of Wind and Truth.
Q1.1 We restricted Wind and Truth posts to megathreads for a period after release, and then gradually allowed posts depending on their complexity, depth, and uniqueness. Let us know how you felt about this progression.
Question Type
Dates for reference:
  • November 22 - Began directing all WaT posts to preview chapter megathreads due to book copies being sold prior to release
  • December 6 - Wind and Truth Release - Megathreads created for day-by-day spoilers, full WaT spoilers, and full Cosmere spoilers. All posts directed to these megathreads.
  • December 20 - Began allowing art posts outside of megathreads
  • December 24 - "Long, detailed and/or unique" WaT posts allowed outside of megathreads
  • January 9 - Allowing all WaT posts except those which are very brief, simple, and/or common topics.
  • January 24 - Allowing all WaT posts, no more post megathreading
