General Information
Tonlung Meditation Retreat is our second PaPae branch, located about 7 kilometers from the Main Center. 
This retreat is ideal for those seeking greater solitude, privacy, and a deeper focus on self-meditation. 
Nestled on the edge of a small village and surrounded by the peaceful rural landscape, 
Tonlung offers a more intimate and secluded atmosphere than the town of PaPae. 

Guests also have the option to join our Jungle Trek from PaPae, an enriching journey through forests and rivers, with stops at terraced rice fields and an orange farm.

How to Get here
You will be picked up from PaPae Meditation Retreat upon your arrival. 
Tonlung Flexible Retreat Schedules
5.30  -  6.30    :  Morning Meditation + Chanting 
7:00                 :  Alms Round through the village
7.40  -  8:30    :  Breakfast  & cleaning 
8:30 - 11:30    :  Free Time  **You may request an extra meditation session during this time 
11.30               :  Lunch
13.00 - 18.00 :  Self-Practice 
18:30 - 19:30 -  Evening Chanting + Meditation 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ!!
- Donations can be made by bank transfer and cash. Although, it's a lot easier to do by cash.
- There is no working ATM nearby for International Banking, we recommend you to prepare some extra cash along with you.
- Our address on Google Maps is 'Pa Pae Meditation Retreat'
- We will provide you the white clothes to be worn during the entirety of your stay.
- PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL,  Bug Repellent and Toiletries.
- We have separate accommodation for men and women. Mostly rooms are shared (double beds) and some single rooms, the room you will get is what is available upon your arrival.
Cost & Donations
In order to cover food, pick ups, utilities, accommodations, supplies, cleaning and maintenance, and other service costs, there is a Minimum Donation of 500THB per person per night. 

We don't have a policy for people to stay for free. However, what is most important to us, is that everyone has the opportunity to learn meditation and wisdom. So if this cost is outside of your budget, you can come and talk to us about your situation. 

Also, if you are interested to donate a larger amount in order to pay gratitude to the teaching monk or help support the continued growth of the retreat, then we would be very grateful for your generosity.
Arrival at Pa Pae
Between 1pm and 5pm is the best and most convenient time to arrive. This will give you enough time to join our Retreat Tour (very helpful and informative).
  • Please refrain from arriving between 11AM and 12PM as our staff must eat lunch during these hours.  
  • Also, if you are unable to make it before 5:30PM, you might need to walk from the Bus stop to our retreat.
  • If there was no one in the Reception, you need to contact the Papae Whatsapp community, QR CODE to join the community is provided on the reception table                                                                                      
  • If you would like to be picked up from PaPae Bus Stop, please fill out this form so our staff can know in advance. However, if you arrive without filling in the form you can contact P'Than at +66 84 093 8383 upon your arrival (can contact via WhatsApp as well)
Returning Van
Our PaPae is located between Chiang Mai and Pai, You need to copy this "Thai Word", ขึ้นที่อบตป่าแป๋ to put it before your name when booking a ticket. To book a bus from Chiang Mai or Pai, please follow this form
