Symposium on Responsible AI and the Liberal Arts | February 6, 2026

What would responsible AI mean for the liberal arts? This symposium convenes our community to examine AI’s profound impacts—and its risks—across classrooms, research, creative work, and our world. We will explore the role Barnard and a liberal arts education must play in framing the conversation, contributing to research, and educating the public. The symposium will feature a community showcase of hands-on projects, creative works, and research from across campus. Submit a proposal for the showcase here.

The event will take place in the James Room on the 4th floor of Barnard Hall.
