As with any profession, due dates and deadlines are important. But especially in journalism-- the news doesn't wait! Your grade will be reduced for late work. Students will be awarded weekly participation points. *
Required
I understand that time outside of class will be required for most packages, in addition to Games of the Week and livestreaming events. This time is minimal, but still necessary. *
Required
Classroom conduct required: be nice to each other, don't sleep, be respectful of teacher and fellow students, don't make a distraction out of yourself, and always do your best. *
Required
Being in Journalism comes with privileges...being out in the hall to get interviews, taking video, etc. Do not  abuse these privileges because it will ruin it for you, but also future classes. Always do what you are supposed to. One strike and you're out--grounded to the classroom. Do not abuse these privileges. *
Required
I understand that I represent KLPS, KNET, Liberty Public Schools, and Liberty North High School and must behave professionally and responsibly. *
Required
Cell phones may be used in class for specific learning activities as directed by the teacher, such as required multi-factor authentication or other actions necessary for educational purposes. Specific details will be provided as to when and how cell phones will be used instructionally. Devices should be powered off/silenced and stored securely at all other times.

*
Required
The ability to utilize cell phones for educational purposes is a privilege and students should act responsibly when doing so.  In the event that students act in a manner inconsistent with these expectations, this privilege may be revoked and the student may be subject to additional school disciplinary action.  *
