In order to give back to the community, Loyola University Chicago’s Muslim Students’ Association organizes a Fast-A-Thon in conjunction with Loyola’s Hunger Week in order to raise money for local, national, and global beneficiaries that focus on hunger relief.
All proceeds of this year's Hunger Week (determined by Loyola University Chicago) will be going to:
1) Local: A Just Harvest is a community kitchen taht serves a nutritious dinner 365 days a year to anyone in need, distributes tens of thousands of pounds of food annually, and supplements the nutritional needs of children after-school & during breaks.http://www.ajustharvest.org/
2) National: Action for Healthy Kids is a national organization that provides volunteers in schools and school health leaders across the country with the resources they need to Learn, Act & Transform. http://www.actionforhealthykids.org/
3) Global: Heifer International: Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the Earth. http://www.heifer.org/
This pledge form serves as your personal invitation to the meal Thursday in Damen MPR at 4:15pm. Join us there for a feast as we break our fast at 4:38 P.M.
