Summer 2026 Swimming Policy for Meriden Community Camp

Each Wednesday we will be traveling to Lebanon Memorial Pool for the afternoon to enjoy the water and the fun it has to offer. To help ease our transition when at the pool, we are asking our families to provide us with the necessary information regarding your camper’s swimming abilities/preferences so we know ahead of time and can plan accordingly. Some groups such as our Little’s (Rising First Graders) are going to be solely in the “Kid Splash Zone” area. Third grade and up will have access to all areas of the pool unless otherwise specified by a parent, does not pass the Lebanon Pool Swimming Test, or we at MCC deem it a risk to allow them in a deep water area.  We are still asking for all information regarding swimming abilities and necessary precautions such as life vests and floaties. Please fill in all areas below that apply to your child.

Beginner: Only starting to learn to swim. Requires significant supervision and/or flotation devices.
Developing: Has been swimming for several years, but still not overly confident in water over their head.
Competent: Very confident in water, is able to swim for long periods in water over their head. Can jump off diving board at the Lebanon Pool.
