Across the Fences: The Art of Neighboring
October 14-November 18, Wednesday or Sunday from 6:30-8:30PM
What It's all About
When Jesus said that we should love our neighbors, what if he meant our literal neighbors?

When Jesus was asked to sum up everything into one command, he said to love God with everything we have and to love our neighbors as ourselves. What would happen if every follower of Jesus took the Great Commandment literally? Is it possible that the solution to our society's biggest issues has been right under our noses for the past two thousand years?

Starting on October 14, Lakeside Church is going to be going through a study together specifically oriented around these questions. The study, as well as the messages that you will hear on Sunday mornings, are all patterned after a book called "The Art of Neighboring." A link to purchase the book, if you so desire, is located here:

Don't have the time or energy to read along in a book? That's fine. The study works just great with or without the book and has video support. That said, it's a great book and we highly recommend it either way.

How to Get Involved
There are 3 ways to get involved.

1. Get involved as a participant. Simply fill in your preferences below, and we will do our best to pair you with a group.
2. Get involved as a host. If you are willing to host a group in your home for 6 weeks, fill out the information below and we will contact you to help organize. If you wonder what it will be like to lead a group, you can find sample materials similar to what we will be using here:
3. Get involved at home. If you simply can't fit a small group in your life right now or your schedule doesn't wind up lining up with anyone else's, you can sign up to receive materials and follow along with your family at home.

We will do our level best to make sure that everyone is able to participate in a group, but we're trying a new thing and it's possible that we may not be able to make it work for everyone. We apologize in advance for any difficulties in this regard and we promise to use what we learn this time around to make the next Lakeside small group experience better.

The deadline for signup is October 1.
Groups will be assigned and leaders informed by October 7.
Groups begin to meet the week of October 14.
