1) All entries must be handmade/handcrafted by the participant, free of any harmful and flammable materials.2) Dimensions of lantern submitted should be no larger than 2ft (H) x 2ft (W) and weigh no more than 10kg.3) All lantern submissions must be before 11 September 2024 and to submit to KSL Esplanade Mall Concierge Counter Ground Floor (in front ZUS Coffee).4) All lanterns must be submitted with a hook for displaying purposes and participant’s name must be attached on the lantern firmly and clearly.
5) This competition is open to Malaysian residents of all ages (participants below the age of 18 years old should be accompanied and supervised by their parents/guardians for safety purposes).
6) Winners will be announced on Lantern Parade Night, 14 September 2024 at the Roof Top Garden, Second Floor, KSL Esplanade mall during the prize giving ceremony. Winners must be present to receive the prizes, if unable to attend, Prizes will be forfeited..
7) Scoring Criteria:
- 30% Judging criteria based on creativity and originality.
- 20% Judging criteria based on colour combination.
- 10% Judging criteria based on overall presentation.
- 40% Judging criteria based on public virtual votes.
8) The Management reserves the right and sole discretion to reject or disqualify any lantern submission which is deemed unsuitable for the display, offensive in nature or which is not compliant with the rules and regulation of the contest or against the law of Malaysia.
9) Each winner is entitled to one prize only and the prizes are not exchangeable.
10) The Management will not be held responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever caused on the lantern after the submission of lantern to the Management. No claims whatsoever can be made against the Management in such event.
11) The Management reserves the right to use the name and/or artwork of the design and lantern of the participants as material for the purpose of advertising, trade, display and/or trade publicity for promotion, without any prior notice to the participant and/or their parents/ guardians. By taking part in the competition, consent is given to the Management by the participant and/or the parents/guardians.
12) By registering to the competition, the participant and/or their parents/guardians on behalf of the participant is deemed to have read, understood and acknowledged to the term and conditions of the competition and its rules and regulations.
13) By registering to the competition, the participant and/or their parents/guardians on behalf of the participant is deemed to have granted consent for the usage, collecting, recording and processing his/her personal data for purposes stated in such notice and in connection herein.
14) The Management reserves the right at its sole discretion to amend the terms and conditions mentioned above or in connection with the competition at any time without prior notice.
15) The Management reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.
