BVRI Membership Form (2018)

Bear Valley Residents, Inc. (BVRI) is a non-profit corporation formed for the benefit of Bear Valley property owners (and non-property owners) who wish to join. Annual dues are for each fiscal year beginning March 1 and ending the last day of February. The information requested in this membership form is for BVRI business only and is not released except to support a reciprocal information exchange agreement (mailing address only) with Alpine County, the Bear Valley Water District, and local title and real estate companies who need to have a property owner’s current mailing address. The annual dues are $110 if paid by May 31, 2018; $125 thereafter. We of course always welcome more if you want to donate to a good cause. Because we are not a 501c3 organization, dues and extra donations are not tax deductible.

There are three membership types. All membership categories provide eligibility for use of Bear Lake and the Lodge Pool (depending on BVRI's financial arrangement with the Lodge). You must be a Class A member to vote on issues related to CC&Rs. You may be a Class A or Class B member to vote for BVRI Board of Directors. In all cases there is only one vote per lot.

Joint Ownership Special Instructions: Membership dues are based on property owned, not on number of owners associated with that property; all owners are considered members in good standing once dues are paid on property by one of the owners. We of course welcome memberships from more than one owner, but only the designated primary owner can vote when voting issues arise.

Multiple Property Owners Special Instructions: Owners of more than one property who wish to pay membership dues for each property owned must fill out a separate membership for each property. You will get one vote for each lot paid for.

After entering the requested information, you must SUBMIT it. Please note: once you submit your form you may not go back and change your responses. If you need to do so please send email to Ann Porteus, Membership Chair ( so that we can help you. After you submit your form, you will be given instructions about how/where to pay.
