I understand that in order to be successful in an online course, a student must be able to set and meet deadlines unprompted, have good computer skills, time-management skills, persistence, and good written communication skills.
I understand that students who fail to meet the engagement minimums established in the handbook (submitting an assignment within 20 days and completing 15% of the course by the first IPR) will be removed from the online class and returned to in-person learning. Students returning in person are not guaranteed enrollment in a credit-bearing course which could impact MSHSAA eligibility.
I understand that any student who fails 2 or more online classes* in any semester will not be allowed to take online classes the following semester. *(Middle school = Any 2 core classes; High school = Any 2 credit-bearing classes).
I understand that all CPS Online courses follow the same school calendar as in-seat courses. Students enrolled in CPS Online courses are expected to complete all course requirements by the end of the semester as stated on the CPS school calendar.
