BUILDING CLEANLINESS & CARE: Honor the “Leave No Trace” rule: leave the building as you found it or better. Do not raise the thermostat temperature above 68 F and please return it to 55 F when you leave; turn off all lights that you have used and secure windows and/or doors. Do not use confetti, rice, glitter, and other littering substances in the building or on the porch. Bird seed, however, may be scattered outdoors on the grounds. Please do not alter or move the furniture, decorations or artifacts without permission from the MTA Board. This includes lights, speakers, equipment, and screen. You will be charged a cleaning fee of $50/hour, if not left in perfect condition. BUILDING STEWARDSHIP: Prohibited activities include any activity that the Board deems inappropriate to the mission of the MCA. Prohibited activities are determined by the Board and include any activity that could potentially damage the stained glass windows. This may include amplified sound/music. BUILDING ACCESS: A Member of the Board will be appointed for one-time events. That Board member will open and close the building and serve as the Point of Contact for the user. NO keys will be given out for a one-time event. Use of the downstairs area, even for storage, is prohibited without prior approval of the Board. PLEASE NOTE: the building and bathroom are not handicapped accessible. BUILDING SAFETY:There is absolutely NO SMOKING and NO USE of FIRE (candles, lanterns, etc.) in the building or on the front porch and steps without prior approval of the Board of Directors. No alcohol may be used/consumed in the building, porch, steps or on the grounds of the Montgomery Center for the Arts without prior approval of the Board of Directors. CODE OF CONDUCT:The MCA, it's Boards, volunteers, and members will take every due and proper measure to ensure that there is not, and that there shall not appear to be, any conflict between the personal, private, and business interests of its participants and their responsibility to the MCA, its service users, the general community, and funding partners. This includes any instances of harassment or slander in public or private forums and social media. The MCA will take all due action to ensure that the integrity of the MCA, its board, its members, and its role in stewardship of the public interests are maintained and preserved. Actions or behaviors that may serve to compromise the integrity of the MCA, its board, and its members will not be condoned or allowed, and will result in the non-refundable termination of any existing contracts, MCA position(s), or membership status. MCA personnel occupy a position of trust with service users and shall act at all times to preserve that trust. The MCA will authorize discipline by way of Board majority vote and any sanctions will be carried out in a manner to respect privacy and dignity. *
