Student Survey for Program Review: Private Pilot Program
Langley Flying School is conducting a Program Review in accordance with the Accreditation requirements of the Ministry of Advance Education.  Accreditation means that we seek to meet the highest of standards in the flight training industry; accredited status is also required for our students to receive government student loans.

The Program Review is a stock-taking of the state of our operations, designed to provide us with a basis for new directions and dimension, and the purpose of this survey is to determine if the program is satisfying the needs of students.  The results of this survey will contribute to our assessment of what adjustments are necessary to ensure the needs of students are met.

Your participation is therefore a CRUCIAL element in the Program Review process, and we therefore encourage you to provide accurate and thoughtful responses to the questions.  We thank you in advance for taking the time complete this survey.

Langley Flying School’s Statement of Purpose: To provide safe and effective pilot training. To encourage high standards in flying practices among our students, including the promotion of professional-level pilot knowledge and skills. To continually develop our training programs to ensure that they meet the highest of standards in the flight training industry, yet maintain an effective and informal learning environment.
9) I understand and support Langley Flying School’s Dispute Resolution
Langley Flying School’s procedure for dispute resolution is as follows: If possible, a disputant shall attempt to resolve a dispute informally. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, or in cases where the disputant is uncomfortable with informal measures, the disputant shall submit the complaint in writing to Chief Flying Instructor.  The Chief Flying Instruction will request written submissions from all parties involved, including witnesses.  Within 72 hours from the time that the original written complaint was submitted, the Chief Flying Instructor will meet with parties involved for the purpose of adjudication, and within 24 hours of this meeting, the Chief Flying Instructor will provide a written decision to the disputants. If either party is dissatisfied with the decision of the Chief Flying Instructor, the dispute may be referred to a mediator.  Within 48 hours of receiving a written request for mediation, the Chief Flying Instructor shall appoint a Pilot Examiner or a Civil Aviation Inspector as mediator.  The costs of mediation will be paid by Langley Flying School, Inc.
10) I think Langley Flying School’s Dispute Resolution Procedure is fair and effective.
11) When I were admitted to Langley Flying School, I was presented with accurate information regarding the Langley Flying School's programs.

12) When I were began my program of study, adequate time was spent reviewing the program's admission requirement and the admission and completion requirements.
13) The Course Outline for my course reflects what actually happens in class and during flight training.
14) The activities, assignments and evaluation methods are appropriate for the course.
15) With respect to the conduct of staff and Instructors, I am taught and treated in a manner that is appropriate to my age and experience level.
