Dear Parents,
Tiferes Bais Yaakov Updated Driving Policy
1.
Grade 12 Students may receive parental permission to drive to and from school.
New for 2026-2027:
Grade 12 Students may not drive during school hours. Upon arrival in the morning, all keys must be placed in a designated box in the main office.
2. Grade 12 Students may carry passengers, or be a passenger in the car of another student, only with parental permission.
3. Students may only drive during school hours when specific permission is given by the Administration for Student Council Activities.
4. Students in Grades 9-11 may travel to and from school as passengers of a Grade 12 student with parental permission. Students in grades 9-11 may not be a passenger during school hours, even for Student Council activities.
5. Any student driving a car or riding in another student’s car without parental permission will face disciplinary consequences and possible suspension.
6. Frequent lateness in arriving to school may result in revoking of driving privileges.
7. There will be limited designated spots for students in the school parking lot. Students may be required to find street parking if these spots are taken. Therefore, sufficient time must be allotted to find a parking spot each morning, which will enable a student to arrive to class on time.
Thank you in advance,
Rabbi Shmuel Zilber
Menahel/Head of School
