Hackathon Challenge Project Proposal Form - for Non-Profits & Community Partners
How Can Our Hackathon Help You?
The Philadelphia Social Justice Hackathon 2024 will bring together as many as 150 volunteers with a wide range of expertise and life experiences, including coding, law, and policy. Participants will divide into teams and spend two intense days designing and building tailored solutions to the challenges you've presented.

This form allows you to connect with hackathon organizers about your organization's project or idea. Unfortunately, not all submissions can be selected. We will prioritize projects using these criteria:
  1. provides learning opportunities across multiple disciplines;
  2. addresses a social justice need with potential community impact;
  3. offers a close connection to oppressed and marginalized communities; and
  4. clearly describes the problem and problem space.
Depending on the complexity of the project, we might adjust your submission to scale for the event. We may also reach out to your group as we screen requests to discuss what level of support we will need from you if we select your idea.

Accepted groups might be asked to provide a brief video describing the problem, impact, and why it is important to tackle this issue. Those who can do this in an in person presentation are welcome to join on Friday, April 5, 2024. More information will be sent via email by the organizers two weeks prior to the hackathon.
