Hattiesburg, MS

A survey project by Matt Hamil for the Cultural Geography (GHY 331) class at USM. Please take this survey only once. All survey responses are confidential. All questions and comments can be sent to Matt Hamil at james.hamil@eagles.usm.edu.

The following questions in this survey will be about Hattiesburg: Does Hattiesburg have a West and East side? Is there a clear divide between the two? Are the two sides of town culturally different? In cities, a divide usually forms that separates residents into one of two groups: people on the West, and people on the East. The division is a man-made perception, and it does not accurately depict residents found on each side of town. The purpose of this survey is to help identify whether or not residents of Hattiesburg, MS believe there is a divide in the city, and whether or not the divide is based on cultural, economic, social, and/or racial perceptions. The questions in this survey are not intended to discriminate, but they ask about your perception of Hattiesburg.

THIS SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED. ANSWERS RECORDED WILL NOT BE PART OF THE SURVEY RESULTS.
You may take the survey if you want, but your answers will not be included in my analysis. If you would like to see the results, please continue through the survey and enter your email in the box provided at the end.
