Art in the Park Festival | Criteria & Reproduction Policy *
I understand that The Art in the Park Festival only accepts original, one-of-a-kind artwork handmade by the exhibiting artist. I understand that reproductions and mass-produced items (such as posters, t-shirts, magnets, etc.) do not meet festival criteria and are therefore not permitted at the festival. I agree NOT to display any of these items at The Art in the Park Festival 2024. The only exception are signed and numbered limited edition prints with a maximum edition size of 100. If I disrespect the festival and its exhibiting artists by not adhering to the criteria and reproduction policy, I understand that I will be required to remove the items immediately and will be disqualified from future festivals.
Required
Art in the Park Festival | Terms of Participation *
If accepted into the Art in the Park Festival 2024, I, the artist, agree to the following:

1) I waive any responsibility to the organizers of the Art in the Park Festival Community and the City of Ottawa for any injury, loss, theft of, or damage to anything I bring into the park from June 8th through June 9th, 2024.

2) I will be responsible for my own sales transactions including any taxes that may apply.

3) I agree to pay the appropriate registration fee according to the chart on the Art in the Park application page. I understand the registration fee for accepted applicants is subject to a $50 administrative fee in the event of cancellation by the artist before May 1st, and a $100 administrative fee in the event of cancellation by the artist on or after May 1st. I understand that there will be no refunds for cancellations made by the artist after June 1st.

4) I understand that each display area is assigned by the organizers based on the space category for which I am applying. I understand that the space I am assigned is non-negotiable.

5) I agree that all articles on display and/or for sale will be handmade by myself, the artist vendor, and must be similar to the work submitted in my application. I will not sell work from commercially pre-fabricated kits or commercially mass-produced goods.

6) I agree to be present on both days of the event.

7) I understand and agree to be present at my pre-assigned park space no earlier than 7 am and no later than 9:30 am on Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2024. I agree that I will not begin packing up and dismantling my display space until 5 pm on both days. Anyone leaving early will be disqualified from participating in the Art in the Park Festival in the future.

8) I agree to leave my display area and its surroundings AS FOUND. I agree to remove all display equipment, tents, garbage, recyclables and other materials used to exhibit my artwork by the end of the festival.

9) I understand that the Art in the Park Festival's decision regarding my participation is final.
