 1) You are at the university. You are looking for office 212. In the hallway you see a girl of your age, who is probably a student as well. You want to ask her where office 212 is. What do you say?
 2) You have been attending course X for quite some time. Today you gave a presentation on a certain topic and the professor seemed really satisfied and he/she even praised your work.  After the lecture, the professor comes up to you and says: “Your name, your presentation was great! If only you didn’t suffer from stage fright. Just kidding. What was your average grade last year?” This is the first time that this professor has spoken to you directly. Do you find his/her way of addressing you too personal or inappropriate and how do you reply?
3) You have been attending a course held by professor X for over a year now. You disapprove of his/her teaching methods and don’t respect him/her. You need to consult him/her about something this week. You see him/her in the hallway and want to ask him/her when you can schedule a meeting. What do you say?
4) You see your university classmate whom you know relatively well in front of the university. You want to ask him/her which lecture room you are having your exam in today. You say:
5) You are standing in front of professor X’s office. Suddenly, an unknown young man, seemingly a bit older than you, approaches you and asks you the following: “Hey bruv/babe is this professor X’s office?” How does this make you feel and how do you respond?
6) You have been working on a project with a certain professor for two years now. In the meantime you’ve become well acquainted. At this moment you are sitting in this professor’s office and the two of you are discussing the project you have been working on. You have a new idea for this project and you want to ask him/her what he/she thinks of your idea.  You say:
7) You see the same professor you have been working on the project with in front of his/her office while he/she is talking to another professor whom you don’t know. You want to ask him/her whether Mrs X is at the university. What do you say?
 8) In the university hallway some student of your age approaches you and asks you the following: “My dear colleague, would you be so kind as to tell me when the exam in professor X’s subject is taking place?” How does this make you feel and how do you respond?
9) After a lecture you approach a professor whom you respect deeply. You want to know when you can schedule a meeting with him/her. What do you say?
10)  You are standing in front of the university. Some professor approaches you and asks you the following: “Dear Mr/Mrs (your last name) would you be so kind as to tell me what time it is?” How does this make you feel and how do you respond?
