Next Generation Builders Scholarship Presented by Turner
As part of our commitment to supporting the next generation of builders, leaders, and innovators, Turner Construction Company is proud to award two (2) $2,500 scholarships to high school students interested in a future in the built environment.

We invite high school students who have an interest in the built environment, including construction, architecture and engineering, to apply.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a current California high school junior or senior student
  • Have an interest in pursuing a career in the built environment, including construction, engineering, architecture, design, or the skilled trades. 
  • Available to attend the Women in Construction Conference on September 9, 2026 with complimentary registration.
  • Complete and submit the scholarship application and video by the application deadline of Friday, 8/7/2026 5:00PM PST.

Short Video Submission 

Applicants must submit a short video (2-3 minutes maximum) through the provided Google link. The following is the video prompt to follow:

1. Tell us about yourself.

·         Name

·         School

·         Grade level

·         Extracurricular involvement

·         Academic achievements and honors

2. What interests you about the built environment?

·         Share any experiences, classes, projects, programs, or career interests related to construction, engineering, architecture, or skilled trades.

3.  If you had 24 hours with no limitations or responsibilities, how would you spend your perfect day, and why?

      We want to learn more about your personality, creativity, and passions.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Demonstrated interest in the built environment - 40%
  • Quality and thoughtfulness of responses - 30%
  • Enthusiasm, authenticity, and personal story - 20%
  • Overall presentation and completion of application requirements - 10%

  Scholarship Recipients Notified (via Email) By: Wednesday, 8/19/2026
