Essay Prompt (Maximum word count: 150)

Many high school students are interested in business but may lack exposure to the diverse possibilities and pathways within the field. A Business Career Exploration Institute can provide valuable insights, connections, and experiences. Discuss the following:

  • Your specific interests within the field of business: Are you fascinated by marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, or another area?
  • How you believe participation in a Business Career Exploration Institute will enhance your understanding of potential business careers. Consider the opportunity to interact with professionals, engage in hands-on activities, or learn about different industry specializations.
  • How the knowledge and experiences gained from the institute will impact your decision-making process as you transition into post-secondary education and/or future employment. Will it solidify a career choice, encourage you to consider specific majors, or influence your approach to seeking internships?

Additional Notes for the Student:

  • Be specific and detailed. Use examples from your life to illustrate your points.
  • Be yourself. Your genuine interest and passion should shine through.
  • Keep your essay concise and focused on the prompts (Maximum word count: 150).
