Home Run Derby Volunteers for Softball

When: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023

Where: Anamax Park

We need the assistance of our Spring 2023 Volunteers to help us run the Home Run Derby.  Please see the positions below and sign up by providing your Full Name, Email Address, and Phone Number.  We need adult and youth volunteers.  We will contact you if you were selected for the position.

Judge Volunteer (ADULT)
Will be stationed near the outfield fence to judge if ball landed over or on chalk/cones.
Adult Pitcher-Volunteer (ADULT)
Where possible, the same pitcher should be used for a minimum of five (5) batters in each round before rotating pitchers. The pitcher must be positioned and pitching from behind an L-Screen for the baseball competition or square screen for the softball competition. The screen is to be positioned no closer than 30ft from home plate for the baseball and 20 ft for softball competition.
Dug Out-Volunteer (ADULT)
Will be assisting players in the Dugout and ensuring they follow batting sequence.
First Aid Volunteer (ADULT)
Assisting if any player needs first aid.
Second Base (ADULT)
A square screen is recommended behind second base, manned by an adult, to gather all baseballs or softballs.
Ball Shaggers (YOUTH 9 YEARS OLD AND UP)
The only Little Leaguers permitted on the field are the batter and shaggers (max of 5) all of which should remain in the outfield. Shaggers must allow all balls to land (no catching). 
CATCHER (YOUTH from Minors Division and up)
Must have full catchers uniform
