Background
In January 2023, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched the Young Adult Case Management Program to target and monitor 18-19 year-old youth. ICE frames YACMP as a humanitarian program that provides essential benefits to vulnerable youth.
The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), and the Young Center for Immigrant Children (YC) have prepared this survey to track YACMP implementation and better understand its impact on youth. This survey is intended to collect critical information from attorneys and service providers about the actual impact of YACMP based on their clients’ direct experiences.
Who is this survey for?
This survey is primarily intended for attorneys representing youth enrolled in YACMP. Social service providers, case managers and child advocates serving unrepresented youth are also encouraged to complete the survey.
How will survey results be used?
NIJC, WRC, and the Young Center will analyze and present high-level takeaways from this survey in the form of a policy brief or report. We will not include personally identifying or confidential information in the final policy brief or report.
We may conduct follow-up interviews with survey participants or youth interested in discussing their experiences with YACMP.
