Business History Project
Businesses have always been an important part of Shenandoah County's History. They provide employment to local citizens and serve as community institutions. However, information about these businesses is often lost to history.

To help us better understand and preserve the history of our current business community the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives is conducting a survey of local businesses. These profiles will be preserved at the Archives for the use of future researchers.

If you are the owner/employee of a current or have information about a historic business you are invited to complete this brief survey. Please complete one survey for each business you wish to provide information about.

We also invite you to consider donating written histories of businesses or primary materials such as photographs and documents to our collection. Often the thing you may think is least important is the most useful.

To learn more about donations, our collection, or to receive a physical copy of this survey contact Archivist Zachary Hottel at:                                        (540)984-8200                                 514 Stoney Creek Blvd. Edinburg VA, 22824

Note: Personal Information such as your name, address, and other contact information will be excluded from the public collection
