The Substance Use Treatment and Recovery (STAR) Prenatal Clinic at the OU Health Science Center in Oklahoma City provides comprehensive specialized prenatal care for pregnant persons with substance use disorders in a collaborative environment, with an emphasis on coordination of care with supportive psychosocial services and substance use treatment providers.

The Little STAR Clinic is a neonatal follow-up program for STAR moms and their baby at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. The appointment occurs 30-90 days after the baby is discharged from the hospital. A team of experts will provide the following services to baby during the appointment:

  • A medical check-up for the baby by a developmental behavioral pediatrician
  • Developmental assessment by an occupational therapist
  • Support, resources and referrals as needed
  • Some appointments will be offered virtually for convenience
