Rice Cooking & Culture

I’m a student at the Rhode Island School of Design conducting research for a design project exploring the cultural meanings, stories, and memories connected to rice and rice cooking. This study looks beyond daily cooking habits to understand how rice relates to family traditions, identity, rituals, and personal experiences.

Your participation is completely voluntary. The survey takes about 3–5 minutes, and all responses will remain anonymous and used solely for educational research purposes. By proceeding, you consent to your anonymous responses being included in my design research documentation.

Thank you very much for your time and insight — I truly appreciate it.
