Bookkeeping and QuickBooks - Bastrop, TX

Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas is sponsoring an adult education class for Bookkeeping and QuickBooks.

What are the dates and times of the training?  The class schedule begins March 4, 2025 to June 12, 2025.  Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 PM. 

Where are the classes held?  The classes will be held in person in Bastrop, Texas.
 
What is the cost?  The training, tuition, materials, testing and certification fees are free if the student meets the eligibility requirements.  Students must have access to the internet, computer or laptop (cell phones will not work for class sessions or testing) 

What are the eligibility requirements for training?

•    18 years or older (no age maximum)
•    If you are 18 you must have high school diploma or GED
•    Cannot have a Bachelor's degree or higher (unless it is from a different country)
•    Be able to attend all class days
•    Students are required to attend an orientation and assessment session prior to classes beginning.  
•    12 hours of adult education classes is a mandatory requirement for the class and must be completed prior to Bookkeeping and QuickBooks classes beginning.  Resumes, interviewing, budgeting, community resources, basic Excel skills are part of the adult education classes.  

How do I apply?  After completing this interest form, you will be contacted via email by Montie May about the next steps for enrolling in training.  Please note that class size will be limited to 20 students, with the students who submit all of the required documentation being considered first.

What are the credentials earned for training?  After the successful completion of training students will take an exam for certifications for the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeeping – NACPB and Certification in QuickBooks
