The Massachusetts Council of Churches is printing Know Your Rights Posters and Icons to be hung inside Christian Churches with information about what our legal rights are, as Christian institutions at this time. This is a form to sign up to purchase Know Your Rights posters for your church so you may know what your legal rights are and who may legally enter onto your property.
Many Clergy and Lay leaders now need additional information about who may enter church buildings and property, given new policies from the current administration that removed houses of worship from "sensitive locations" where Department of Homeland Security (Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Customs and Border Patrol) would not previously enter.
Churches have clear rights about who can enter, when, and what areas are considered public and private spaces. We encourage you to sign up to be informed with
Know your Rights cards and posters.
We anticipate that the posters will be approx 17x11, and cost $5. We just received the commissioned icon of the Holy Family fleeing to Egypt from the Orthodox Artist
Art of Marza on March 14, so we will finalize the poster and be printing shortly.
