The SJSU Department of Chemistry will be hosting its 4th Annual Welcome Back and Research Open House on Thursday, September 3, 2026. For the past couple of years, we have invited all interested students to join us for lunch and a chance to scope out labs and research opportunities in the department. This year, we would like to expand this event to invite you to join us!

Event Details

Date: Thursday, September 3, 2026

Time: 12 - 4 pm

12 - 1 pm: Welcome lunch

1 - 1:30 pm: Student-led Instrument and Facility Tours
1:30 - 4 pm: Research Lab Open House

Cost: Free

Location: Lunch and tours will start from the lawn in front of the Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB on the Campus Map). The Research Open House will take place in meeting spaces and student workstations on floors 1-4 of the ISB. Please come by the registration table outside of ISB when you arrive.

Parking: Complimentary parking – after you RSVP, a code will be emailed to you for use at the campus parking garages.
