Birth Emergency Skills Training ® (B.E.S.T.) is now a HYBRID format with online learning modules followed by hands-on skills training and simulations. This innovation better accommodates the busy schedule of birth attendants.

Do the Birth Emergency Skills Training® 3-step...

Step 1:  
Complete BEST ONLINE (21 hours of presentations and videos).
By transferring the lecture portion of the former 2-day workshop into an easy-to-use accessible online program, we are able to provide more information than ever before in an easy to use and assimilate format. In this way, you can move at your own pace and repeat lessons as desired so you will be well-prepared to hone your skills in the hands-on practicum.

Step 2:  
Register for and attend a 8 hour Birth Emergency Skills Training® (BEST LIVE) workshop.
Practice with models. Learn new techniques with instructor facilitated skills stations. Train your hands and build muscle memory. Work through simulations and drills with humor and camaraderie.  Return home with your skilled hands, prepared to give your B.E.S.T. to the women and babies you serve.

Step 3:
FOLLOWING the BEST/LIVE workshop, complete the POST workshop evaluation form in BEST ONLINE program and your certificate will be provided by email to you for printing and record keeping within the week.

BEST LIVE/Hybrid fee is payable to the host + $45 online access fee (paid online).

Cancellation Policy * once registered and committed, there are no refunds provided. If for any reason, you are unable to attend, you can just register for a different workshop within 1 year and attend that one instead.

☕ Food & Fuel for the Day

We'll keep the coffee flowing, the kettle hot, the ice stocked (it is August, after all!), and have light breakfast items, beverages, and snacks available throughout the day to keep our brains and bodies happy.

BEST is a full, hands-on workshop, and we'll be making the most of our time together. There won't be enough time to leave the venue for lunch, so please bring a lunch and any favorite snacks you'd like to have on hand. We can't guarantee access to a refrigerator or microwave, so plan for food that's ready to enjoy.

If you happen to have a favorite baked good, garden bounty, or other treat you'd like to share with your fellow participants, you're welcome to bring it along. There's absolutely no expectation to do so, and this is not a potluck.
