Bit by Bit: Breaking the Barrier for Girls in Tech is a conference for high school girls interested in technology. The Conference’s aim is to bring together women with experience in computer science to offer advice to teenage girls who want to pursue a career in the male-dominated field.
Hosted by the Dalton School, the second annual women in technology conference will be held on April 30th, 2017. Last year, the conference (formerly called Code Like A Girl) featured keynote speakers such as Laura Butler, a distinguished engineer at Microsoft and Minerva Tantoco, the CTO of New York City. However, our mentorship break-off sessions, in which female engineers sat down with small groups of high school girls to talk about their experiences in the field and answer questions, were surely the most special part of the day.
The mentorship sessions with the high school girls will take place from 12:00-12:45pm.
We will be in touch once you fill out the form! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions and check out our website at bitbybit.dalton.org. Thank you for your consideration and for your commitment to helping girls interested in tech.
