Nomination for Dr. John W. Harris 2019 Teacher Of The Year
The Teacher of the Year program annually recognizes outstanding classroom teachers* from ANY accredited Sioux Falls school! The nominator (colleague, parent, administrator, student, self or community member) completes this form in detail, including at least three paragraphs (1100 CHARACTER minimum) with explanation and examples of why this nominee deserves to be Teacher of the Year. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.

* A Classroom teacher has a class of his/her own and teaches students at least three (3) or more hours per day, five (5) days a week, for six (6) or more calendar months during a school year.

Nominators are encouraged to solicit additional support for the nominee by asking up to (3) three others to also submit letters outlining their experience with the nominated teacher. The support letters must be limited to one page (no extra material will be submitted to judges). Provide specific examples of how the teacher differentiates instruction based on student needs, designs engaging lessons to improve classroom and/or school culture, and inspires students to recognize their potential impact and role in the larger community.
