Application for COST Teacher Training School 2024
Use this form to apply to be a participant in the COST Teacher Training School on CLIL and Cognitive Discourse Functions (CDFs) in Leiden (The Netherlands) on 25-27 September 2024. The trainers will be Silvia Rieder-Marschallinger, Silvia Minardi, Elena del Pozo and Emine Adadan.
The deadline for applications is 23 April 2024. You will be notified by the end of May as to whether you have been assigned a place on the training school.
Please note the following before applying:
- The training school is open only to members of the COST CLILNetLE Action. To apply, you need to be an existing member of the Action, or else you need to apply to join the Action. You can do so via https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA21114/.
- This is an on-location event only. Hybrid or online participation are not possible. If you are offered a place, you will be expected to travel to Leiden and stay their for the duration of the three-day event. Before applying, please make sure that this is a realistic possibility, e.g. in terms of being away from work. Your travel, accommodation and subsistence costs will be covered by the Action.
- This training school is aimed at experienced CLIL practitioners (teachers and teacher educators) who have the possibility to connect the training to their own practice and to share their learning with colleagues. It is not suitable for colleagues who are just starting out with CLIL.
- Applications are welcome from teachers in different subject areas, including language teachers, as long as they work with CLIL.
- Places on the training school are limited to 24. If we receive more than 24 applications, a selection will be made based on spread across countries, contexts and subject areas, the extent to which applicants will be able to share their learning with colleagues back home, and whether you have benefitted from COST Action grants in the past.
