The Best Cosplay Crossover award honors the cosplayer or costume maker who has brought a gaming fashion moment into the physical world with exceptional skill and creative intelligence — a cosplay that doesn't just recreate a look, but honors and amplifies it. Cosplayers and Costume Makers are eligible.
Requirements- Must be based on a character from an interactive gaming title and publicly debuted or documented within the eligibility period
- Cosplays of gaming-adjacent media are not eligible unless directly based on the in-game character design
- Must have been publicly shared through at least one verifiable channel during the eligibility window
- Commissioned costumes qualify if the nominating cosplayer or maker was the primary creative and construction lead
Eligibility Period: January 2020 – August 2026
Judging Criteria- Accuracy and faithfulness to source character design
- Craftsmanship and construction quality
- Creative interpretation (physical problem-solving, added design elements, etc.)
- Presentation & performance
- Visual impact
