PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • We are seeking committed, growth-minded young women who are ready to fully engage in the Ambassador experience and give their best effort throughout the year.
  • The Girls Soccer Worldwide Ambassador Program was designed for high school female student-athletes; however, you do not need to play soccer — or even participate in competitive sports — to apply. Our Ambassadors come from many different backgrounds, sports, schools, and experiences. Some are athletes, and some are not. What matters most is your willingness to grow, lead, serve others, and show up consistently.
  • Communication, consistency, and accountability are essential parts of the Ambassador experience.

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Monthly Ambassador Workshops

Ambassador Workshops are held once per month throughout the program year.

  • Program Dates: July 2026 – June 2027
  • Location: Pleasanton / Livermore area
  • Time: One Sunday evening each month from 6:00–8:00 PM
  • Requirement: Attend 10 out of 12 workshops to successfully complete Year 1 of the program.

All workshop dates will be shared before the program begins so families can plan ahead and prioritize attendance.

  • Our first official workshop is our Ambassador Media DayJuly 29, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Each workshop is intentionally designed to build upon the previous one. Consistent attendance allows Ambassadors to gain the full benefit of the experience, deepen relationships, and fully participate in leadership conversations and activities. We understand that conflicts may occasionally arise; however, strong communication and proactive planning are expected throughout the year.

2. Grassroots Leadership Workshops

Grassroots Workshops are opportunities for Ambassadors to step into leadership by mentoring and encouraging younger girls in the community.

  • Location: Livermore
  • Time: Friday evenings from 4:00–6:00 PM
  • Months Held: October, March, and April
  • Requirement: Attend 8 out of 16 workshops to complete Year 1 requirements.
  • These hours qualify for high school community service hours.

3. Participation in the 2026 Dollar A Mile Campaign

All Ambassadors are expected to participate in our annual Dollar A Mile Campaign during the month of July.

Girls Soccer Worldwide programs in underserved communities are made possible through fundraising and community support. By participating, you help create opportunities for girls around the world to access leadership, mentorship, and sport — while reminding them they are worthy of those opportunities.

This is a virtual campaign, allowing participation from anywhere in the world to accommodate summer travel schedules.

4. Community Fundraising Participation

Ambassadors are expected to participate in one additional Girls Soccer Worldwide fundraising or community event during the 2026–2027 program year.

These events are designed to be meaningful, fun, and community-centered.  They also qualify for high school community service hours.
