The Korean and Asian American faith-based community continues to need  support, resources, and information that can help them better serve their congregations and community members. Issues of substance and alcohol abuse, gambling, smoking, domestic violence, suicide, and other forms of abuse are common problems that require other supports that churches and community agencies cannot always provide. We had a successful turn-out for the first collaborative meeting in March and would like to facilitate the second meeting to further discuss and share to partner with you on building the Korean and Asian American faith-based community's capacity to address issues related to mental health and well-being in Southern California.

You are cordially invited to attend the 2nd KCCD Faith and Community Collaborative with SAMHSA (Substance Abuse & Mental Health Service Administration)on Mental Health and Substance Abuse and be a part of this exciting partnership initiative. We are privileged to be one of 12 communities selected from across the country, and only Asian American group to participate in this effort. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2:00PM - 4:00PM. We will meet at the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, 3663 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010. Light meal will be provided. RSVP is necessary.

한 인/ 아시안 어메리칸 신앙 기반 단체가 교회신도들과 지역사회민들에게 계속해서 그들이 필요한 자원과 정보를 제공하며, 화학물질, 음주폭력, 도박, 흡연, 가정 폭력, 자살등 여러 형태의 학대가 교회나 지역사회단체의 도움이 미치지않고, 하지만 도움이 절실히 필요한 주요 사항들을 돕고 해결하고,  남가주의 정신건강과 웰빙을 심도있게 다룰수 있는 한인/아시안 어메리칸 신앙 기반 단체의 인식을 탄탄하게하기위한 회의입니다. 첫번째 회의가 많은 분들의 참석으로 성공적이었으며 그 두번째 회의를 통해 서로가 더 협력할수있는 시간을 가지기를 부탁드립니다.

그리하여 여러분을 제 2회 KCCD - 신앙기반 단체 협력회의에 초대하며 SAMHSA(연방 - 약물중독, 정신건강 협의회)의 일원이 되어 후원해 주시길 부탁드립니다.
