Budget decisions affect every Illinois resident. Vital services provided by the state support the needs of families and communities. Cutting these public services is not an option that we can accept.

The Governor has called for “shared sacrifice,” but vital services have been cut repeatedly in recent years. The people who depend on these services have already made deep sacrifices. They should not be asked to sacrifice even more.

Use this form to join the Protect Medicaid Coalition and to pledge to take action to defend access to high quality, affordable health coverage. If you pledge to take action, a member of the Protect Medicaid Coalition Steering Committee will follow up to provide support and outline next steps.

I pledge to do my part to defend these programs by doing the following:

Testify at legislative hearings

Travel to Springfield for meetings and rallies

Schedule an in-district meeting with my legislators

Collect and share stories of those who may be affected by proposed cuts with media, legislators, and others
