Leadership Gainesville Application

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Leadership Gainesville (LG) is a community based leadership program designed to build awareness of local challenges and to enhance the leadership skills of individuals so they can be empowered to lead effectively.

Participating in the Leadership Gainesville program is just the first step in joining a group of community leaders including small business owners, politicians and nonprofit heads going back more than 50 years.

The program includes a combination of in-depth issues seminars and learning opportunities designed to enhance self-awareness and leadership approaches. The program provides community immersion experiences and advanced skill development which enable participants to explore critical issues in the Gainesville region.

Participation in the Leadership Gainesville program requires a significant amount of time and dedication.

Classes meet one full day per month (generally the second Wednesday) from 8:00am to 5:00pm during the program year (August – June) and sometimes includes homework or additional assignments. See Employer Support below.
