RSVP – 3rd Community Forum for the RI Statewide Coastal Resilience Plan
You’re invited to join the third Community Forum for the Rhode Island Coastal Resilience Plan 2025. This is your opportunity to help shape how Rhode Island responds to the challenges of sea level rise, extreme weather, and climate change - and to share your ideas for building a more resilient future.

The third forum will focus on asset prioritization and will include interactive engagement opportunities to share your experiences. Hearing from local communities across Rhode Island is a vital part of this process and plan. We hope you’ll join us and lend your voice to this important work.

Date: Wednesday September 10th
Time: 5:30–7pm
Location: In person at Newport Library, or online
Getting there: Address is: 300 Spring St, Newport, RI 02840.  A free parking lot is accessible from Golden Hill Street behind the library. From Kennedy Plaza, take the 60 bus from Kennedy Plaza, get off at Marlborough before Farewell then walk for about 0.6 miles along Farewell Street and Spring Street.

Refreshments will be provided. Translation services will be provided for Spanish and Portuguese. This forum will include a brief presentation, small group discussions, and opportunities to share your experiences and priorities.

Le invitamos a unirse al tercer Foro Comunitario para el Plan de Resiliencia Costera de Rhode Island 2025. Esta es su oportunidad de contribuir a la respuesta de Rhode Island a los desafíos del aumento del nivel del mar, las condiciones climáticas extremas y el cambio climático, y de compartir sus ideas para construir un futuro más resiliente. El tercer foro se centrará en la priorización de activos e incluirá oportunidades interactivas para compartir sus experiencias. Escuchar a las comunidades locales de Rhode Island es fundamental para este proceso y plan. Esperamos que nos acompañe y que nos dé su opinión en esta importante labor.
