Report An Issue (Orientation Quest 2026)
KNOWN ISSUES:
  • Certain Google Pixel phones (a10 and older) are having issues with the NFC reader detecting Challenge Markers as valid due to a device bug. 
    WE HAVE A SOLUTION: Delete the O-Quest app. Open https://cmu.lol/quest-pixel to download an APK, which you then must sideload. Simple tutorial here.
    If you were affected by this bug and unable to play on Monday and Tuesday, please report to Pake Room in the UC from 12-2.
  • If you're getting "This device has already been registered", and you aren't using a separate device from the one you signed into O-Quest first, send an issue request and we can get it manually fixed. It's a known bug due to aliases.
  • Some NFC cards may have fallen to the bottom of their posters; if tapping doesn’t work at the icon on the poster, try tapping at the bottom.
LOCKED BUILDING CHALLENGES (that have since been reprinted)
  • "Color Printing Power: Sorrells Library" is on the door to Sorrells Library
  • "Hamerschlag Hall C <--> Ansys Hall C" is located oj the C Level entrance, down the stairs past the Friends of Engineering Bridge
  • "Flameo, Fire and Stone" is located at the Tartan Pavillion entrance near the stadium.
  • "Need Me Some Tahini" is located at the Tartan Pavillion entrance near the stadium.
  • "SCS: Render Time" is located at the Smith Hall entrance (near Newell-Simon Hal)

MISSING CHALLENGES:
  • None!
TRICKY CHALLENGES:
  • "Bus Ride on Fifth Avenue" is up as of 08/20, 12:26 PM (it's not exactly at the bus stop due to the nearby metal interfering with the NFC cards...)
  • "CFA: World Architects" is up as of 08/20, 2:35 PM
  • "CIT: CivE Lounging" (previously "Labbing") is up as of 08/20, 1:29 PM
