ReConnect Western MA Interest Form
ReConnect Western MA is an alliance of parents, teachers and community members with a shared commitment to the wellbeing of children and teens. We are focused on action, education and collaboration around issues and norms regarding youth smartphone, social media, and tech use.  While we welcome varied perspectives, we are largely guided by the Four Norms as set forth by Jonathan Haidt in The Anxious Generation: (1) No Smartphones before high school - at least, (2) No social media until at least age 16, (3) Phone free schools, (4) Far more unsupervised play and childhood independence. Additionally, we advocate for a more thoughtful and intentional approach to the way technology is being used in schools (guided by the EdTech Triangle).
