SafeTALK Suicide Prevention Training
Aloha,

Thank you for your interest in attending this training. We are very thankful to have Patricia Wistinghausen as our trainer for such an important issue. Kūkulu Kumuhana O Anaholaʻs (KKOA) goal is to have someone or a family trained on every street in Anahola. We have seen how one person can make a difference that cares or listens. This is also a great opportunity to learn skills that can make a difference in yours and someone else life.

safeTALK Teaches...
* TELL, ASK, LISTEN, KeepSafe steps to engaging in a conversation with someone who may be having thoughts of suicide.
* Learn Tells/Invitations/Warning Signs
* Learn To Ask "Are you thinking about suicide?" Learn To Actively Listen and Be Present
* Learn How to Help with a KeepSafe Plan
* Learn what is Helpful or Harmful & Myths about Suicide (i.e. Talking About Suicide will not put the idea in someone's head, because The Best Way to Prevent Suicide is by Talking About It!)
