KAN-PIC.ORG offers low transactions costs (only 5%) compared to many other auctions sites and all of the proceeds go to Conservation & Community groups and projects, with a very small portion (1%) going to maintenance and operation of the site.
Conservation & Community Groups will receive 2% of all sales as a donation to Your Conservation or Community Group (1% to Your Group and 1% for Your Group's Conservation & Community Projects) each year for every seller who chooses you during Seller registration and makes sales on KAN-PIC.ORG. For every $100 worth of items sold by a seller selecting you, Your Group receives $2. So, once registered Conservation & Community Groups grow their coffers by promoting the sale of items through KAN-PIC.ORG. Sellers will be asked to which Conservation or Community Group they would like to donate using a drop-down menu that will list you. KAWS will transparently administer the distribution of donations to Conservation & Community Groups each year based on the choices of sellers. Seller registration and item posting (auctions & marketplace) will begin June 1, 2016.
Additionally, 1% of all sales will go to a conservation and community project fund. This donation will go to all types of conservation and community projects in local watersheds and communities to promote clean and healthy soil, water, air and wildlife resources and philanthropic efforts for communities in Kansas. Your group will be able to apply for these funds for your projects. Projects will be selected by representatives of all of the Conservation and Community Groups according to a list of guidelines.
Buyer registration and on-line buying begins on July 1, 2016.
Sellers will receive a receipt for a 5% tax-deductible donation with every sale.
