What is Bible Released Time?

Bible Released Time is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about the Bible during their school day! Children who have a signed permission form are excused from school once a month to attend a one-hour program held at a nearby church. Nationwide, thousands of children attend Bible Released Time programs each year.

Who sponsors the program?

Bible Released Time is sponsored by the Elgin Children’s Foundation in cooperation with local churches or ministries. Visit FollowHisLEAD.org or elginfoundation.org for more information.

How can my child join in?

Children who bring this signed permission form to school (see other side) will be released with others in their class to ride the bus once a month to a nearby church. The program will be chaperoned by adults who will accompany the children from the time they leave school until they return.

What will they be doing in the class?

The class will consist of a fun time for students as they learn from God’s Word through a creatively presented Bible lesson.
