Crawford County School for Adult Education (CCSAE)        Volunteer Application
The Crawford County School for Adult Education, an all -volunteer 501 (c) 3 non-profit, organization, opened its doors in the early spring of 2018 with the goal to offer all programs at no cost to our Crawford County residents
over 18 who needed help transitioning to employment. Each student works with staff to create an Individualized Educational Plan.

CCSAE offers GED Prep Courses (Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science), Reading Comprehension for the ASVAB, and English as Second Language. Additionally, CCSAE offers a work readiness course:  STRIVE, and Beyond STRIVE, a more targeted and personal plan with an Independent Transition Program for each student. Students who are enrolled in WoRC have access to certificates such as ServSafe® , CPR, and Basic First Aid, at no cost to Crawford County residents.

There are various ways to volunteer to this effort:

  • Instruction is provided by volunteers.  Thank you for considering us.

  • Office hours are provided by volunteers during the week.  Our goal is to have the office open Monday through Thursday to maintain visibility as well as to answer phones and questions of those who may stop in.

  • Light housekeeping (i.e. sweeping, dusting, and making sure the space is tidy) is also covered by volunteers.

We currently have a very diverse group of volunteers and would like to expand that list even
more.
