The Get Lit Players (GLPs) are an award-winning youth poetry troupe and the most watched poets on the internet. They have collaborated with the United Nations, John Legend, the White House, and more, inspiring their peers to engage in their education and their lives.
As a GLP, you will work with a group of Get Lit staff & your peers to hone your craft of spoken word poetry through weekly workshops and scheduled paid performance gigs with schools, organizations, and other community partners.
GLP practices are every Saturday from 2:00pm - 6:00pm!

WHAT TO HAVE PREPARED:
– Please come prepared with one Classic poem & one original Response poem
NOTE: the Classic poem can be a personal favorite or come from
getlitanthology.org!
– If you receive a callback, you will then need one ADDITIONAL original poem that has not
previously been heard by Get Lit staff
– If you were a GLP in previous years, you cannot use the same Classic/Response you used to audition
– Once we receive all applications, we will email you with your assigned audition time slot
