Strategies for Engaging Students with Primary Sources
Teaching with Primary Sources - Mars Hill University and Teaching with Primary Sources - Southern Illinois State have partnered to offer a four week asynchronous, online course. The course will run from July 2nd- July 27th. The course will help teachers learn to search LOC.gov quickly and effectively to locate powerfully, engaging primary sources for all content areas. Then teachers will be introduced to various learning strategies to help students engage with primary sources of all formats (maps, music, newspapers, photographs, etc.) Teachers will receive a CEU completion certificate for 20 hours at the end of the course.
