We believe that for AI to be responsible, it must embody in particular five essential pillars on which we will focus our activities:
Frugal AI & AI for the Climate – AI should be ecological and frugal, minimizing its environmental footprint by optimizing energy consumption and using decarbonized electricity to support a sustainable future.
Trustworthy & Explainable AI – Transparency is key. AI systems must be understandable, auditable, and trustworthy, so that users can trust the decisions they make without falling into the traps of "black-box" algorithms.
Inclusive AI & Education – No one should be left behind. AI should reflect the diversity of human experiences and promote fairness, while education ensures that everyone—from students to experts—can engage with AI responsibly.
AI for Social Transformation – AI should create opportunities, not fear. It should help workers adapt, support upskilling, and ensure that technological progress leads to social and economic inclusion.
Useful & Impactful AI – AI should be a force for good, transforming public services, healthcare, and mobility, and addressing real-world challenges to benefit society at large.
We are at a pivotal moment in history. The choices we make today will determine the kind of AI—and the kind of world—we leave for future generations.
Responsible AI requires individual and collective responsibility. We all have a role to play: professionals and citizens, must act together to create an AI ecosystem that reflects our values, protects our planet, and benefits humanity.
