This event is the official launch session of the Industrial Technology Acceleration Program, established to support the commercialization and global scaling of promising climate technologies in the field of industrial decarbonization. Bringing together the World Resources Institute (WRI), the Coalition for Our Common Future (COCF), Third Derivative (D3), the Global Industry Hub (GIH), and key domestic climate tech ecosystem partners, this event serves as a platform to discuss the critical conditions needed to move beyond technology validation toward real-world industrial application and market expansion.
The session will cover the program's founding rationale and operational direction, an introduction to the inaugural Cohort, and a discussion on how to dismantle the structural barriers hindering the scale-up of climate technologies - through linkages among industrial offtakers, investors, international organizations, and accelerators. It will also spotlight the strategic potential for Korea to establish itself as a hub for the spread of industrial climate tech across Asia and as a base for global demonstration and commercialization.
