Use this form to nominate event/location combinations that deserve recognition for
their pivotal role in the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals across North
America.
Eligibility: Key events of national or statewide influence or meaning in
history of pharmaceutical discovery, medication use, pharmacy practice,
pharmacy education, pharmacy associations, and related activities. Examples:
o Discovery or first synthesis of
first-in-class pharmaceuticals
o Locations of
pivotal events in science or clinical practice.
o First pharmacy classes at schools (faculties) of pharmacy
o First meetings
of pharmacy associations and regulatory boards
Not eligible: First pharmacy in a
town [but eligible if... first or oldest
pharmacy in a state]. Pharmacies cited as
part of historic business districts without qualifying distinction. Living persons or persons deceased < 20 years.
