Emerge Innovation Hub Pitch Night Application (Accelerating Businesses)


By submitting a registration form online to participate in the Emerge Innovation Hub Pitch Competition, to be held on  September 5th, 2026, I / we agree to the terms and conditions of participation at the Emerge Innovation Hub  Pitch Competition, as stated in the eligibility criteria set forth on the event registration website and as further set forth in Appendix A hereto, and that I meet the eligibility criteria.  We understand our obligations for participation and that deviations or noncompliance with any of the eligibility requirements and/or participation rules may result in my / our disqualification from the event.  By submitting this registration form, I/we also agree to release Emerge Innovation Hub, Whirlpool Corporation, the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber and each of their respective affiliates from any liability related to the event and my/our participation thereunder. 

We are aware that pictures of the participants may appear online, on our website, and in other social media platforms.  By submitting this registration form, I/we grant permission for the organizers to use my/our images and video content in connection with this event. 


Eligibility Criteria - All Participants (Emerging- Start Up and Accelerating -Vetted)

  • Located in Berrien County, Michigan

  • Business can not be in these sectors:

    • Alcohol, Tobacco, Cannabis

    • Gaming

    • Firearms

    • Promotion of a particular Political candidate, representative, party or ideology

  • Priority given those that have attended at least 1 EIH Entrepreneur Hangout Meeting


Eligibility Criteria - Accelerating-Vetted Businesses Pitch Participants

  • Be willing to submit a business plan with evidence of clear vision and mission

  • Incorporated business with more than 2 years of operations 

  • Annual business revenue >$25,000

  • Agreement to the following pitch and post-pitch commitments: 

    • Pitch to include Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including revenue & profit

    • Pitch to include how grant will be used for measurable return on investment:

      • Expand users, customers or markets

      • Expand products and services

      • Hire new employees; and/or

      • Invest in more efficient processes

    • Winners encouraged to coach/mentor other businesses 

    • Winners to submit a grant progress report six months after winning
